What’s the Best Flooring Option for Nurseries and Kids’ Rooms?

Nesting and designing your child’s room can be an exciting time. In fact, there is really no time like it. When you are preparing for a baby you are dreaming up what they might be like and all the big milestones they will hit, like crawling… and then you realize that you haven’t changed the flooring in the nursery and concrete floors just isn’t going to cut it. When it comes to picking out flooring that can last the test of time and flooring that will meet all of your needs, we have a couple of tips for you. First, choose a floor that is easy to clean up. We love this first option because it is comfortable on your feet, your baby’s feet and is easy to manage. So that’s why we chose carpet tile flooring. This flooring also comes in a hardwood option, but that’s not our top choice today. We love the feel of carpet in a nursery or children’s room because it is warm and cozy. Kids are always crawling around on the floor and you want them to be comfortable while doing it, we also want you to be comfortable crawling around with them too! This flooring gives you the option to easily pop out a tile and replace it with a new one if there is ever an accident or spill, which we all know is more than likely to happen. It will help keep the room feel fresh and clean at all times. Our second favorite flooring for your kid’s space is laminate hardwood floors. This helps give the touch of hardwood floors, but the replacement cost low. If your floors get damaged, incur spills or get beat up a lot with all the play time than laminate hardwood flooring is a great choice. It is easy to install and easy to replace.  With this choice you also don’t have to worry about spills damaging the real wood below it. It is an easy clean up with no long term damage.
