Luxury Vinyl Installation

Luxury Vinyl Installation

Vinyl Flooring has become one of the most popular flooring choices in today’s market. It is possible to install it as a DIY project, but to get the best outcome possible, we recommend hiring a professional to get the job done. Installing Vinyl flooring is a vigorous, multi-step, and sometimes messy process, and although our installers will do their utmost best to contain any mess and noise, knowing what to expect and how to prepare yourself can help make the process go faster and smoother and also eliminate any surprises.

Before Installation

The first step for vinyl Installation is getting accurate measurements of the space to determine how much material is required. Our team will visit your home to take the measurements and discuss the process with you, including the layout and removal of any existing flooring.

If you’re remodeling other parts of your house, we advise that they should be completed before the installation is scheduled.

The vinyl installation often involves a lot of noise, dusting, and loud power tools. This is why you should have all furniture, electrical appliances, and all other household items removed from the area before the installation. This will help to speed up the process. Also, for safety, please make sure kids and pets vacate the area.

We strongly recommend that you be home during the installation to make any last-minute decisions if any issues arise. Our team will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.

During Installation

Once all due processes have been followed and all concerns attended to, our team will begin your vinyl installation process. Please note that during the installation, we will require you and any other member of the home to vacate the room, this is done to ensure safety and to enable our team to carry out their work effectively.

We will begin with removing your existing flooring, then lay the new vinyl flooring down. The installation time may vary depending on the space and size but expect that it will take anywhere between a few hours to about a few days. Our team will remain communicative with you all through the entire process.

After Installation

After the installation, our team will remove any work-related debris.

Also, depending on the installation method used, there are different outcomes. For example, if the Glue-down installation method was used then light foot traffic is allowed if the floating floor installation method was used, the floors can be used immediately. If a grouted installation method was used, you may notice a light haze on the floor after installation but that’s completely normal.

Before installation, our team will always let you know the installation method to be used. In general, it’s recommended that you wait at least 72 hours before washing the floors.
