Creative Cabinet Storage Options for Your Home

There is no doubt that the kitchen is the heart of the home. Every holiday spent at your house usually includes the family surrounding the kitchen island snacking at the holiday treats and dips. Unfortunately, this is not the case due to what we like to call kitchen shame. We all know somebody that could use a little work on their kitchen, somebody who has stuff out on every counter making the kitchen no place to relax… and we all know that somebody is usually the last to volunteer to host a holiday party. Well, we are here to help those people. We have put together some ideas on how to find creative storage space in your cabinets at home.  One thing that is necessary but also takes up a lot of room in the kitchen cabinets are cutting boards. Even though they are flat they are usually pretty big. A creative way to organize cutting boards is to head to your local office store and grab a couple of file organizers. When you get home, find a cabinet that suits your cutting boards best and screws the file organizer to the door. Slip your cutting boards right in and you have one part of your kitchen done! Don’t be scared to cut and customize your kitchen yourself. A lot of times when we buy a home we think that the drawers and cabinets are what they are and don’t have potential. We are asking that you see passed that belief and start thinking big. When it comes to your utensil drawer do you just have your spatulas right on top or your whisks? Or do you find your silverware holder is taking up a lot of unnecessary room? If you are answering yes to these questions then this is for you. Take measurements of your drawer and then place every type of silverware you would like to fit in there down in that drawer. This is your chance to configure and manipulate how to use every inch of space you have. Then go to your hardware store and pick up some wood to cut down and glue together the pieces When it comes to your utensil drawer do you just have your spatulas right on top or your whisks?
