The Most Important Part of Your Bathroom Remodel

Remodeling your bathroom can be such an exciting time. Buyers these days are always looking for updated, modern bathrooms. While it is exciting, it can be a bit stressful. It is hard to know which decisions in a bathroom remodel are most important, but no worries, we have put together a few tips to get you through your bathroom remodel without being stressed out to the max. One of the most important decisions of a bathroom remodel is about your shower area. When upgrading your shower area you want to consider installing a tile on your shower floor that is small and textured. Rather than having big tiles on the floor, with small tiles you get an added bonus of safety. It will look good and keep you from slipping due to all the grout lines it makes it harder for you to slip and easier for you to keep a grip on the ground. Second, don’t buy a tub if you don’t use a tub. Nowadays a tub is no longer necessary in a bathroom. The only reason some buyers would turn down a bathroom without a tub is if they have an infant. But, a tub is a huge cost and if you aren’t going to enjoy it then we don’t think you should install it. It is good to know that a bathroom is not up to code unless there is a some sort of ventilation, whether that be a window or a bathroom fan. But, in your remodel we suggest doing both. We think that having a fan in your bathroom is a great idea to help control the moisture levels that come with hot showers, but we also recommend adding a window of some sort. It doesn’t have to be large, but it will help add natural light to your space which will make the room seem bigger than it really is.
