Spring Colors to Use in Your Home

After the darkness of winter, spring is a welcome relief. It is a time when the world seems to come alive again and suddenly there is color everywhere. Why not use this joyful season as inspiration for the colors of your home? You can use the colors in this article in many different ways:

1. Mint

This hue creates a light, airy feel in many different spaces and work well in bathrooms and bedrooms especially. You can combine it with white or with another blue/green (such as teal).

2. Lavender

A classic spring hue, lavender has seen a resurgence in popularity recently. It, of course, has slightly more feminine feel, but it be used in many situations. Drapes and furniture in this color add a welcome splash of color to any room. It matches with whites, pale green (such as mint) and blues.

3. Pastel Pink

The color of spring 2017, pastel pink can be found on the runways as well as in our homes. That’s not to say you should go ‘Legally Blonde’ and paint and buy everything in pale pink. Clever touches of this shade can go a long way to creating depth and beauty into your décor. Opt for cushions, flowers, ornaments and throws if you don’t want to go full pastel pink. Experiment and see how the room feels – white paint can have a hue of this into really warm a room.

4. Apple Green

Apple green is one of the brighter spring-inspired colors on offer, so it complements some the lighter shades (like mint for example). It creates a crisp and refreshing feel that lends itself well to bathrooms and kitchens as well as living spaces.

5. Daffodil Yellow

Another bright hue to add to the spring shades, the daffodil yellow, of course, takes its inspiration from the well-known flower. This color is so refreshing and brightens up any home; choose accent walls, art and painted wood in this yellow to add a splash of vibrancy to your décor.
